Hosted by Purdue University, “Weathering Water Extremes: Connecting Soil Health, Drainage, Irrigation, and Farm Resilience” takes place November 4–5, 2026, at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana.
Learn with Leslie Johnson
Leslie Johnson is an Extension educator at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, a member of the SHE expert network, and part of the Soil Health Nexus leadership team. On November 5, she will lead “Digging into Soil Health: A Facilitator’s Guide to Real-World Decisions.”
The broader program combines classroom sessions with farm visits and farmer conversations. Topics include drainage, irrigation, and the economics of cover crops and no-till. Educators, consultants, and agency staff are welcome.

Cost: $135 regular registration; $110 for first-time attendees; $165 onsite. Registration includes attendance, lunch both days, and dinner on November 4.
