Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Soil Health Exchange (soilhealthexchange.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.

Description of Service

Soil Health Exchange provides:

• A platform for agricultural producers to submit soil health questions
• Expert agronomic recommendations and guidance
• A Field Answers of published Q&A content
• Educational blog content about soil health
• A directory of soil health resources
• An optional My Farm membership for private Farm Memory records and personalization

Core educational content, funding reminders, and question submission features remain available without a My Farm membership. Some tools, premium outputs, or memberships include pricing that is presented before checkout.

SHE Accounts

A SHE account may be created when you first verify a one-time email link or use an available third-party sign-in method. There is no separate account fee. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address or identity provider connected to your account. Creating or signing into an account does not automatically begin a My Farm trial or paid membership.

My Farm Membership

My Farm is an optional private Farm Memory. A new Farm Memory includes a 30-day trial without a required payment card. After the trial, membership is offered at $9 per month or $90 per year unless a different price is clearly presented before checkout.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the billing portal.
• Cancellation takes effect according to the billing period shown by Stripe.
• When a trial or paid membership ends, existing Farm Memory records remain available in read-only form.
• Read-only access does not include saving new records, editing private notes, or active personalization.
• Assessment interpretations are included while a trial or paid My Farm membership is active, subject to reasonable anti-abuse limits.
• You may still request deletion of your information under our Privacy Policy.

Field Guide Reservations

A no-payment field guide preorder records purchase interest and saves access to the stated launch-price invitation. It is not a completed purchase, no payment card is collected, and it does not require you to buy the guide later.

• Printing format, binding, shipping cost, delivery window, and availability are not final until we send a checkout invitation.
• The displayed guide price does not include shipping unless the offer expressly says otherwise.
• You will see the final product and fulfillment details before choosing whether to pay.
• We may revise or cancel a planned print edition if suitable production or fulfillment cannot be arranged; no-payment reservation holders will be notified.
• Reserving a guide does not subscribe you to the general newsletter.

Important Disclaimer

We encourage you to consult with local extension services, certified crop advisors, and conduct proper soil testing before making significant changes to your operation.

User Responsibilities

When using our service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information about your farm and soil conditions
• Use the service for legitimate agricultural purposes only
• Not submit spam, malicious content, or false information
• Not attempt to disrupt or harm our website or services
• Respect the intellectual property of our content

Content Ownership & Licensing

Your Content

When you submit a question, you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use the agronomic information (excluding personal details) to create anonymized Q&A content for our Field Answers.

Our Content

All content created by Soil Health Exchange, including answers, blog posts, and educational materials, is protected by copyright. You may share our content with attribution but may not reproduce it for commercial purposes without permission.

Privacy

Your use of Soil Health Exchange is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Soil Health Exchange is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any crop losses, soil damage, or other agricultural outcomes resulting from following our recommendations
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Soil Health Exchange and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
