Jonathan Kerman

I’m a Soil Science & Agronomic Advisor at Ward Laboratories, where I help growers, researchers, and industry partners turn complex biogeochemical data into clear, actionable field decisions. My work bridges advanced laboratory science with practical agronomy, ensuring that every recommendation is both scientifically rigorous and operationally feasible. My scientific foundation was built at Texas A&M University, where I conducted research on soil–plant–microbe interactions, nutrient cycling, and soil structure behavior. Using X-ray computed tomography (CT) scanning, I analyzed soil pore architecture and aggregate structure to better understand how physical properties influence water movement, nutrient availability, and microbial habitat. This work, combined with detailed biogeochemical cycling studies, deepened my understanding of how nutrient dynamics shape soil health and agricultural productivity.
