Joseph Amsili, PhD, is Director of the Cornell Soil Health Program at Cornell University, where he leads applied research, extension, and farmer engagement to strengthen soil health and climate resilience across New York State.
His work focuses on soil health assessment and interpretation, soil organic carbon, and cover crops. He helped develop New York’s Production Environment Soil Health Benchmarks and has contributed to the Soil Health Assessment Protocol and Evaluation (SHAPE) framework.
