Farmers receive 75% of the net price buyers pay for verified carbon credits, paid over five years • Outcome-based: pays for carbon sequestered, not a lump sum for practice change. Credits issued by the Climate Action Reserve (independent registry); 2M+ credits issued to date. Payments are paid on a five-year schedule, contingent on maintaining practices and soil carbon, and subject to a buffer pool holdback of up to 20% of credits.
