What you can get
$10,000 per year for three years ($30,000 total) • Bridges the three-year conventional-to-organic transition period during which land cannot be sold as organic. Allowable expenses include organic inputs, equipment, certification fees, training, and consulting services tied to the transition. Grantees also receive 1:1 organic technical assistance, mentorship, and business training over the three-year period. Existing grantees do not reapply.

- producer, California farmers and ranchers age 18+ with at least five years of agricultural experience and at least two years owning or operating a farming business, who are transitioning land from conventional to organic production.
