What you can get
Cost-share for streambank stabilization, cover crops, nutrient management, and other conservation practices. • Eligible practices include cover and green manure crops, no-till planting systems, nutrient management planning/implementation, terraces, filter strips, grassed waterways, field border strips, diversions, grade stabilization structures, pastureland and hay land plantings, and water and sediment control basins. Land must be eroding at greater than 1.5 times the tolerable soil loss level, and the owner must be an SWCD cooperator with an SWCD-approved conservation plan. Practices must be maintained at least 10 years.
