- Due November 17, 2026. FY2027 round announced September 22, 2026. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, via MDA's online application system. Approximately $1.5 million available in FY2027.
- Eligibility
- Applicants must be a Minnesota resident, a business entity authorized to farm in Minnesota, or a unit of Tribal government, and sell (or normally would sell) at least $1,000 of livestock products annually. Reimburses buildings/facilities and equipment to produce livestock or livestock products; purchases must be made after the grant contract is signed and reaches its start date. Priority for applicants who have farmed 10 years or less, generational farm transitions, technology improvements (including robotic dairy milking equipment), and projects that respond to or prepare for extreme weather. Match requirement: Recipients contribute matching funds (grant reimburses 50% of the first $20,000, then 25%).
