- Due December 18, 2026. Announced September 29, 2026: $25,000 total (funded by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service). Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on December 18 (2026). Work must be done and expenses reported by October 31, 2027.
- Eligibility
- Livestock producers within Minnesota's wolf range (as designated by MN DNR) or with documented wolf depredation / on property the Commissioner determines is affected by wolf-livestock conflicts. Eligible practices: guard animals and their veterinary care, fencing/barriers/pens and fladry (fencing must be wolf-proof: woven wire on bottom, at least 54 inches total height), wolf-deterring lights and alarms, calving or lambing shelters. Receiving a grant does not affect eligibility for wolf depredation compensation. Match requirement: Generally a 20% cost-share from the grantee.
