- Must address an identified soil health concern and introduce at least one eligible practice not already in use; existing/continuing practices (e.g., continuing cover crops already used) are not eligible. Pre- and post-project soil health testing required, following NRCS Conservation Evaluation and Monitoring Activity (CEMA) 216 guidelines. Projects built around four soil health principles. No particular type of agriculture is prioritized (livestock, hay/pasture, specialty crops, orchards, vineyards, etc.).
