Low alternative adoption (5-9% of the original field): $8.00/ac; Medium (10-15%): $18.00/ac; High (>16%): $26.00/ac • One-time per-acre incentive paid on the acres that remain in production after a management change, tiered by share of the original field changed • Incentive payment capped at $10,000 per producer • Consultation and profitability analysis provided at no cost through Pheasants Forever precision ag and conservation specialists. Payment is in addition to any federal, state or local conservation practice payments.

- Eligibility
- This program is eligible in Iowa and Minnesota. At least 50% of the changed area must be unprofitable to be eligible for the payment, and participants must meet NRCS EQIP eligibility criteria. A five-year maintenance agreement is required, with grazing, haying and mowing restricted until after the Primary Nesting Season (May 15-Aug. 1) each year. Consultations and farm data are confidential; no public access requirement.
