What you can get
Up to $20,000 per applicant per calendar year • One award per calendar year and at least one year between applications following an award; maximum three awards per agribusiness, subject to renewable/efficiency category limits. Initial 50% after contract and documented material payments; balance after completion and inspection. Costs before an executed OER contract are ineligible. RGGI-funded.

- Due November 6, 2026. Current round accepts applications on a rolling basis until November 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Submit the appropriate efficiency or renewable-energy application to OER. Projects must finish within one calendar year of award unless OER approves an extension.
- Eligibility
- RI agricultural operation/site and legal contracting capacity required. At least $2,500 farm income in one of the previous two years, demonstrated with taxes; qualifying nonprofits exempt, land-rental income excluded. Own property or obtain owner permission. Energy audit or commitment before award required unless waived. Projects already completed/interconnected are ineligible; renewable systems must interconnect.
