Set by the State Conservation Committee's annually approved rates • 21 approved best management practices including cover crops, pasture and exclusion fencing, lime application, nutrient management, and precision agriculture. Conservation Districts choose practices from the State Conservation Committee's approved list; criteria and financial assistance rates are approved each year by the Committee.

- Program year runs July 1 – June 30. No statewide deadline; each Conservation District sets its own application period, so producers contact their local district office.
- Eligibility
- Applicants must be a cooperator of the Conservation District where they apply, obtain a conservation plan and a comprehensive nutrient management plan when applicable, and own or operate the land (operators must provide proof). Additional land requirements may apply. Contact the local district for its application period and available practices.
