David P. Huber, Ph.D.

David P. Huber is a biologist, soil scientist, and conservation practitioner with more than 20 years of experience applying environmental science to agricultural, natural-resource, and conservation challenges throughout the western United States and overseas.
He holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and an M.S. in Soil Science. His expertise spans soil health, soil carbon, water quality, watershed science, environmental monitoring, agricultural conservation, and environmental sensing technologies.
As Founder and Managing Member of IM-WEST Consulting, Dave works with agricultural producers, landowners, conservation organizations, researchers, and public agencies to collect reliable environmental data, interpret what the measurements mean, and develop practical solutions for land management. His experience includes leading multidisciplinary research, managing field and laboratory operations, securing and managing federal research and conservation funding, and developing environmental monitoring systems.
