2027 Soil Stewards · open through December 31, 2026

Help the exchange
grow in 2027.

One gift covers the year, or give a little each month.
Your name, and your question, on the 2027 list.

A steward takes care of something so it is still there for the next person. Everything here stays free, with or without a gift. A Steward’s gift funds what we want to do more of next year: a funding database checked every week, and fifty more expert answers, starting with the questions Stewards ask. Give $90 and we include a year of My Farm.

The work behind the answer

Useful knowledge takes care.

Support helps sustain the everyday work that turns a good question into something another person can use.

01

Research & publishing

Find the evidence. Make it useful.

Working through research, checking sources, and explaining what the findings mean for decisions on the land.

02

Tools & upkeep

Keep the exchange working.

Maintaining the website, improving practical tools, and keeping published knowledge available over time.

03

People & follow-up

Keep learning from the field.

Bringing farmer questions and practitioner perspectives together, and learning what happens when ideas meet real conditions.

Our commitment

Your support sustains independent work. Contributions do not buy editorial influence, agronomic recommendations, publication, or access to a farmer.

2027 Soil Stewards

Here is what your gift builds.

Everything on the exchange stays free, with or without a gift. A Steward’s gift pays for two things we want to do more of in 2027, and we will report back on both before the year ends.

01

The funding database

Every deadline and link, checked every week.

Cost-share, grants, and loans, matched to your state and your practice, with each deadline and link verified. Keeping that current every week through 2027 is the first thing your gift pays for.

02

Fifty more expert answers

Starting with yours.

Every Soil Steward names one soil question they want answered in 2027, and we work through that list first. Every answer stays public, so the next farmer with the same question can find it too.

03

A year of My Farm

Our way of saying thank you.

Give $90 or more and we open standard My Farm for you for twelve months: fields, soil-test history, plans, reminders, and reports. Nothing renews, and we never keep a card on file.

The Stewards roll

Names will appear here, beside the Founding Circle, as gifts come in. Yours could be the first.

The people who believed early

Every exchange
starts with trust.

Our Founding Circle helped this work take root. Meet the farmers, researchers, practitioners, and organizations whose early support remains part of the SHE story.

Meet the Founding Circle

There’s more than one way to help

Bring what you know.

Experience, questions, and connections all have a place here. These ways to participate are open to everyone.

A few useful details

Before you contribute.

Get in touch
Can I change or cancel monthly support?

Yes. Use the secure support management page to access your Stripe billing settings. Monthly support renews until you cancel.

Are contributions tax-deductible?

No. Soil Health Exchange is an independent, community-led project and is not currently a registered nonprofit. Contributions are not tax-deductible.

Do I need to contribute to use SHE?

No. Public field answers, articles, and open learning resources remain available without a contribution. Some optional tools and professional services have their own prices, listed separately.

Does support include Founding Circle membership?

The founding campaign has closed. The Founding Circle permanently recognizes its early members. Current contributions support SHE’s ongoing work.

What do Soil Stewards get?

Give $25 or more once, or $10 or more a month, before December 31, 2026, and your name goes on the Stewards roll, with a question of your own on the 2027 answer list. You can stay anonymous if you prefer. Give $90 or more once and we also include a year of standard My Farm for the email you pay with. Nothing renews. Stewards choose questions, not answers: support never buys editorial influence or agronomic recommendations.

Help the next good question
find its way into the world.
