Growing good things takes time
2027 Soil Stewards · open through December 31, 2026
One gift covers the year.
Your name, and your question, on the 2027 list.
A steward takes care of something so it is still there for the next person. Everything here stays free, with or without a gift. A Steward’s gift funds what we want to do more of next year: a funding database checked every week, and fifty more expert answers, starting with the questions Stewards ask. Give $90 and we include a year of My Farm.

The work behind the answer
Support helps sustain the everyday work that turns a good question into something another person can use.

Working through research, checking sources, and explaining what the findings mean for decisions on the land.
Tools & upkeep
Maintaining the website, improving practical tools, and keeping published knowledge available over time.
People & follow-up

Your support sustains independent work. Contributions do not buy editorial influence, agronomic recommendations, publication, or access to a farmer.

Everything on the exchange stays free, with or without a gift. A Steward’s gift pays for two things we want to do more of in 2027, and we will report back on both before the year ends.
The funding database
Cost-share, grants, and loans, matched to your state and your practice, with each deadline and link verified. Keeping that current every week through 2027 is the first thing your gift pays for.
Fifty more expert answers
Every Soil Steward names one soil question they want answered in 2027, and we work through that list first. Every answer stays public, so the next farmer with the same question can find it too.
A year of My Farm
Give $90 or more and we open standard My Farm for you for twelve months: fields, soil-test history, plans, reminders, and reports. Nothing renews, and we never keep a card on file.
Names will appear here, beside the Founding Circle, as gifts come in. Yours could be the first.

Give $25 or more once, or $10 or more a month, before December 31, 2026, and your name goes on the Stewards roll, with a question of your own on the 2027 answer list. You can stay anonymous if you prefer. Give $90 or more once and we also include a year of standard My Farm for the email you pay with. Nothing renews. Stewards choose questions, not answers: support never buys editorial influence or agronomic recommendations.
